THE EXPERIENCE

– 4 yoga classes, ranging from gentle to all levels

– Acusavasana (one hour meditative yoga practice followed by a 30 minute rest with [optional] customized mini-acupuncture treatment)

– 60 minute Swedish / deep tissue utterly relaxing massage from a talented, experienced therapist

– Coloring and dharma talk themed on self-compassion, healthy boundaries (collaborative discussion with flavors of Buddhism, yoga philosophy, Brené Brown, Glennon Doyle)

– Outdoor waning moon fire ceremony, themed on harmonizing with the springtime season

– Yummy, healthful breakfast, lunch, & dinner prepared by Japanese-inspired chef and certified nutrition coach

THE VIBE

– Intentionally designated device-free periods, and time to be still :: journal, read, or sit on the deck and watch the trees sway in the breeze

– Explore / walk / soak in 4.5 acres of virgin oak forest.

– Cozy up inside with lots of comfy couches and plentiful natural light in open-concept, spacious house.

– Chinese herbal medicinal tea for relaxation, customized for your constitution – and some to take home!

– Space is limited to 8 yogis

FAQ’s

What does the pricing include?

  • Lodging in a modern house off of a dirt road in a neighborhood, with a large 4.5 acre lot. The rooms are clean, airy, and bright with 2-3 people per room in comfy bunk beds. The common area is expansive with large forest-facing windows and a deck that beckons you to sit and enjoy fresh air, a cup of tea, and a book. Graded campsites are available for tent camping, at a $100 discount.
  • Food will be prepared in advance by a macrobiotic chef – yummy, nutritious, and satisfying…with dessert on Saturday evening! Meals are mostly vegetarian, with plant-based / gluten free options available upon request. Please let me know if you have dietary restrictions so that we can accommodate. Meals will be family style – some folks might want to help with prep or clean up, but it’s not required.
  • Yoga – 4 classes, including an Acusavasana
  • Massage – my dear friend and incredibly talented intuitive massage therapist will melt away all your tension in your hour long session.  
  • Chinese herbal tea – take home if you like 🙂

What kind of yoga will be offered?

We will have 4 yoga classes, all taught by yours truly…hands on adjustments will be offered.

  • Friday evening :: 60 minute gentle soothing yoga to transition from daily and life and to ground into the tranquil weekend vibes
  • Saturday morning :: 1 hour all levels flow – more energizing class, with modifications offered for all bodies
  • Saturday evening – 90 minute Acusavasana with gentle yoga + acupuncture, themed on self care, self-compassion, and compassion for all beings
  • Sunday morning – 60 minute level 1 yoga – a little movement to get the day started, concluding with meditation and guided relaxation

Will there be free time?

YES. This retreat beckons you to a place of balance from the bustle of day-to-day living, to soften into a space of ease, and to be surrounded by spacious nature and other like-minded yogis. You’ll have time to listen inwardly, and opportunities to build your community.

Are the activities mandatory?

Nope. You will be encouraged to listen to your inner knowing voice, so if you need to skip an activity, that’s definitely allowed!
