About Heather Fenwick
heart-centered care rooted in ancient wisdom
yoga instructor, licensed acupuncturist & herbalist
Originally from Pennsylvania, Heather followed a whim and warm weather to San Diego in 2001, where she discovered the transformative practice of yoga. With the encouragement of Amy and Michael Caldwell, she took her first yoga teacher training in 2005.
Still hungry for more knowledge, she quit her office job and traveled to India on a one-way ticket in early 2006. During this 10-month sojourn, she learned to apply strength and softness in equal measure, while formally learning Ayurveda, Thai Massage, and the philosophies of Buddhism and Hinduism. She returned to the U.S. with an arsenal of Eastern wisdom in her heart, and began teaching yoga in 2007.
Heather is a licensed acupuncturist and herbalist. She specializes in bringing a distinct alchemy of two venerable healing modalities – the practice of yoga and art of Chinese Medicine – to the yoga studio and the treatment table.
