This seasonal yoga and wellness retreat at the Zen Mountain Retreat center is just two hours from San Diego…we will reflect on the truth of ever-changing nature, and how it can help us to fully live each moment with the utmost mindfulness and gratitude!

  • Put down the devices and delve deeper into your practice.
  • Replenish your body, mind, & soul with the fresh, clean air of the San Jacinto mountains, as well as seasonal tips for optimal mind-body harmony, with an Ayurvedic talk by Emily Ruth, and a Chinese Medicine perspective from Heather.
  • Revel in the time and space you need to journey inward with guided meditations & extended savasanas.
  • Connect with a community of like minds to bring consciousness and light into the world we share.

Carpools (encouraged!) depart San Diego at 1pm

Arrive late afternoon

Settle, eat dinner, & stretch


Morning: level 1-2 yoga flow, breakfast, yoga chat

Afternoon: lunch, yoga nidra, traditional chinese medicine seasonal tea, free time

Evening: dinner, group activity, bedtime stretch & meditation

idyllwild lodging options:

  • ZEN LOFT: Dorm-style lodging with shared, unattached bath (first photo on left): approximately 10 comfortable tatami floor mattresses.
  • PRANA CABINS: More privacy, with typically 2 beds per room, attached or unattached bath.

(new) PAYMENT PLAN OPTION: Submit your $100 non-refundable deposit, and just have the entire amount in by 8/31/2019 so you can still receive the discount (however you’d like to split it up 🙂

Your two-night yoga retreat includes:

  • Rustic mountain accommodations
  • Nourishing plant-based meals (breakfast, lunch, dinner) and traditional Chinese Medical herbal formula tea to promote seasonal balance
  • 4 yoga classes (ranging from gentle to level 1-2 with modifications for beginners)
  • 2 guided meditations

The fine print:

  • Space is limited!
  • Carpools will leave San Diego on Friday at 1pm, and return on Sunday at approximately 4pm.
  • Payments (non-refundable) accepted are credit card/PayPal (below), Venmo (@heather-fenwick) … or drop off an old-fashioned check (or cash) made out to Heather Fenwick in an envelope at either of the Pilgrimage of the Heart studios. Be sure to include your e-mail address!
Lodging Options

Who should come? For those of us who leave a yoga class floating out of the studio, and who wish to dive deeper into that bliss, this retreat is for you.  All activities are optional, and yoga classes will be modified for a variety of levels.
